I have been working with Alex on my accent reduction for about three months now. Note that I've taken other classes before Alex, and I'd say nobody gets close to the quality, patience, and dedication that I've been receiving from him. You can tell he knows every little detail it requires to speak American English correctly. His classes and curriculum are well structured with handouts to make sure I could continue the learning both online and offline. And finally, he's always responsive whenever I have a question, even when off the class. I got to know Alex through a friend where he was strongly recommended, and I'd love to recommend Alex to anyone interested in improving their English speaking skills!

Alex is A+, world-class. He is worth every single penny, and more. I am amazed by how far I have come. In just a few sessions, I was already feeling an improvement in my speech.

I am a native Cantonese speaker and a working professional. There’ve been so many sounds that I had no idea I was saying wrong but now am able to say correctly with continually increasing consistency. There are many intricate rules about these sounds, which Alex explains expertly. For example, there are many different combinations of the R sounds. Alex masterfully categorized these R sounds and, like a laser beam, pinpointed the specific categories that I needed to focus on. That’s huge, effective, and such a time saver.

He gives you feedback on optional recordings (AKA homework) in-between classes, which has been tremendously helpful. He is able to pick out the tiniest and yet important errors in my speech. His ears are part of what makes his coaching so valuable. He is very smart. His troubleshooting and answers to my questions are always spot on.

I now hear and feel a difference in the way I speak. I get the overall flow and sound of English more than I did before. I can connect with people more easily and enjoyably than I used to, which is priceless. If you’re looking for an accent reduction coach, you’d be doing yourself a disservice if you didn’t go to Alex. I feel like winning the lottery having found the right teacher.

We hired Alex as a private English instructor to help my wife improve at English, mainly to work on her conversation so she could have more confidence interacting with people, since she is fairly new to the country. I can easily say that Alex has not only met all of our expectations but has encouraged my wife to continue improving her English. 

One thing that she likes about his lessons and the way he teaches is that he always has something to say and never runs out of interesting subjects to talk about, such as current events and past activities, so the dialogue is constantly going and the class never gets boring.
